I believe something bigger happened such as he may not be working for them and gave up? I read his posts too something is up!

I'd be surprised if he gave up, but not shocked. Experiencing the real thing is totally different from doing research and going to school. I didn't want to be discouraging, so it's one thing I never wanted to mention earlier during the other thread. That happened with me with auto mechanics. On paper it seemed a great fit (still does), I did great in school, but after working less than a year at it I knew it wasn't for me. And I did notice ORG in his other thread say things a couple of times like "we'll see what happens" and "in case it doesn't work out." And we know it's a tough lifestyle with a wife and young child. Not trying to be negative here, especially with how psyched ORG was about doing this, just trying to be realistic. I can't see ORG giving up on this career so soon given his attitude toward it, but maybe Swift isn't working out?

I think we all just need to be patience. If he has a lot going on and running hard there is a good chance he doesn't have time for the computer. I also believe he would post here if things didn't work out. I know it's hard to be patient but we must wait and continue to be encouraging so when ORG gets back on he'll see how much everyone was into his story. It has been a great read up to this point and will probably be just as good when he has time to post.
It's like reading a good book. You just can't wait for the next book to come out.
ORG, we wait with excitement for the next book.:biggrin_255:

Thing is after ORG's first thread -and it IS a GREAT READ -and now this thread, it is hard to be patient! We want to hear how ORG is doing and what his thoughts are!! His writing style is excellent and he conveys well on ''paper'' so the reader really can feel what is going on.

Well that and basically ORG ..........we are all pretty concerned here!!

I thought he was solo at this point? Seems like he was if I remember right. Could of swore he talked about his new truck, going home and getting a load running out west somewhere.

If all went according to plan, he would have completed orientation last week, and, assuming he was assigned a mentor right away, should be in the middle of week #1 of his road training.

Now I'm watching this along with everyone else.
I suppose a text message has been sent to ORG?

Just request a reply from him of any sort to confirm he's out there.

    To everyone,

Nope, I haven't heard a peep but after reading Difference Maker's last post here, I'm inclined to agree and just be a bit more patient. ORG is simply not the type to just disappear.

My concern is him not returning my phone calls. I'll hold to the belief it's simply because he's really busy and probably getting hit with the reality of what life on the road is all about.

I did try to prepare him while in school but we all know how that goes. Until you're there, you just can't "know". I had a month out there so at least I know what to expect in terms of the BIG change of life trucking is from any other type of living.

ORG (from my observations) is young and tends to get a bit overwhelmed by things at first but then rises to the occasion. So let's give it some more time and I will keep trying to touch base with him as we go.

We'll all keep him in our prayers and have faith he's fine!

Since I'll be going out with W/S tomorrow, I may be a bit invisible myself until I get things set up. I posted today on my thread but the system caught it so it should be up in a while!

That's a great idea Merlin! I don't have text on my plan so it costs me and I have an OLD phone so I have to type with numbers (a rather comical thing to watch)....:biggrin_2556: ...But I'll do it!!
