this thread has me attempting to contact swift as we speak.. lol.. times do change as i mentioned in other threads. so anyways.. apparently the Tennessee (swift training center number i found for est coast coverage) does NoT take on 'students' out of NY but they DO however have an outside 'school' (sigh.. see my 'need advice' thread) they are affiliated with and have a swift recruiter permanently assigned to/at.
At most posters urging I am trying to increase my job hunting pool availability by attempting to avoid the 9,000 cost of attending this outside school (NTTS) located less than a mile from my home by applying and calling carriers using the internet/phone.
I am calling this swift recruiter now but i sense a scheme/plan that NTTS has perhaps made some sort of deal with Swift that .. i dunno.. all hires outta NY go thru NTTS? man.
to clarify i came home today from NTTS with a swift prehire application and a couple others prior to signing on to NTTS next class beginning Nov 22.
this site got me a bit sidetracked as i followed OTGs exploits and so i immediately googled Swift and called them. at no time during my conversation did I mention NTTS but upon giving my residence was informed at this time NO training hires out of New York State are being taken at the Tennessee facility. the operator then proceeded to say that they do however have affiliations with a school in that area that they Are hiring out of and long story short i got the local recruiters Fone number.. callin her now.

There are other companies that will train you.

    Have you checked around ??

Perhaps try Stevens Transport, New Prime, Millis Transfer, Driver Solutions, ............

I really don't think we're hijacking this DEAD thread !!!!!

    No offense intended :biggrin_2559:

You must be transmitting barefoot with that CB. Try adding 600 Watts and a good antenna.
Just don't go overboard with the echo and reverb.
    10-4?
    Break break.
    Over.
