I too followed ORG's thread. I was disappointed that he never came back to finish it off. But life moves on, and so do people.

Ok, I'll toss my two cents in ... thanks for twisting my arm.

This has been an excellent read from the beginning, and I thank both Chris and ORG for their thoughtful insights and well written posts.

But, I too have come to the conclusion that something drastic has happened. I only pray that it's not something to do with his family, his health, or worse. It's been too long for it to be him being busy. Too long.

ORG, wherever you are, I hope that you are doing well. Thanks for your contribution to the huddled masses watching the thread for any signs of life. Bless you sir, and those you hold dear.

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be ever at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rain fall softly on your fields.
    And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

    Hi Markus.
    Welcome to TTR.

I'm sure there are many here who share your sentiments, exactly.
One can only imagine the reason(s) why the ending was never written. Try as we might to imagine the best, it's hard not to imagine the worst.
Wishes are much easier to control, therefor we wish only the best for our friend, OpenRoadGuy, and remain thankful for the time he shared with us. That is a tough act for anyone to follow. A command performance. A standin' O. And certainly a Must Read --- with an open ending.
Then again, was there an ending?

    Me?
I continue to hold hope it's to be continued ..............................

I too was quite dismayed back in December of last year when the tale of ORG and his adventures with Swift abruptly ended. I read this thread from cover to cover before making my decision to Go with Swift. My story does have a happy ending and its mainly due to org's post that I went with Swift. I went to school in Millington mid last year graduated in jan 11 with my shiny new CDL-A and left on my Mentors truck. We covered 44 states in a 2 week period towards the end of my training. I'm am both proud and happy to report I am still with Swift and just past the 9 month mark. Freight is what it is and as long as you manage your time right you can do well. As for my virtual friend Org I do not know what happened to him but, my hats off to a man who help me decide on my employer for a career as a long hauler. Hats off brother org wherever u are!!!

this REALLY is a must read thread and that is why I mentioned it to you-really takes you thru the whole process.

We actually asked the mods to lock and dock it so that it would stay up top and people could benefit from ORG's experience.

Longshot- glad to hear things are working out for you!
I know we were all dismayed to not see where ORG's tale went after he started with Swift, but hopefully it all worked out for him and his family.

Hmmm mm...just got to the last page of the novel. Even the ending,as unsatisfying as it is, is fascinating. I start my class in 2 days...hope to be riding with a trainer by Christmas. ORG, if you ever read this..thanks for the ride.
