It's refreshing to read something that seems closer to the truth than all that "Happy S*** " that some Prime drivers try and feed people. :yes2557: I'm not making any reference to anyone who has written here on this board but rather some others out there that are hell bent on making you believe what they want you to believe even if it means lying to you, calling you names, ridiculing you, etc., etc..

What are you talking about when it comes to waivers. Waivers for what?

    Thanks

prime's so called training, they do the drug screen, physical, paperwork for two days, then stick you in a room and say study tonight your being tested for your permit tomorrow, then your suppose to hit the road the 4th day, i sat there for two weeks waiting for a trainer, i went on the road and broke every dot law you can think of, this company will make you hate truck driving !!!!!!

Ahhhahahahahah. Just what I suspected! :biggrin_25526: Do you have to stay in the room the whole time?

You had to wait 2 weeks to get a trainer? Did you get paid for the 2 weeks? Don't get me wrong, but some people will say, 'did you want a certain driver, say no smoking'? Why would it take 4 days to do that little bit of stuff?

one thing anyone should know about prime and L/O , they preach everyday about keeping your speed down to put more money in your pocket.

i wasn't picky about the trainer, just a nonsmoker, we had 17 people in my class that waited two weeks for a trainer, both smokers and non, and they give you 240.00 a week it's a loan not a paycheck !!! for the first five weeks you get a 240.00 dollar advance !! that you have to repay out of your already slim check !

That is messed up! My co pays 550 a week. Paid not a loan. I was talking to one guy that they could not get him a trainer. They flew him home and kept him on the payroll till a trainer came and got him.

Prime pays $600/w or .12cpm while in training (paid not a loan) whichever is greater. Sounds like it is more than at your company.

The 240/wk loan is prior to you having a CDL while you are training to get it. You don't have to take it. Do you know of any schools or companies that pay you to get your CDL?
