    Well, I'd say MTFU, but a ##### can't, so...

I'll not let my thoughts known...

I'd speak to a pastor or Christian counselor before I decided family/psychological questions by a poll. You & wife have responsibility for a baby. Your & her desires are secondary now.

Am I missing something? You are happy on the road with your dog. Get a road job that allows the dog and go. Whats the problem?

I was in the army when my son was born (he was born at Martin Army hospital Ft Benning GA. I was gone over 50% of the time (between TDYs to various ranger camps, FTXs, and REFORGER) I barely saw my wife and son for the first 3 years of his life.

Driving since 1984. Not all of it on the road, but the first few years when I started I was lucky to get home 3 days a month.

We have been married over 50 years now. Grandson is 19.

There is nothing to feel bad about. Go do what you need to do. It will work out 1 way or the other...

That why I don't take mine. He'd wonder when we were getting to the park. Plus, alot of shedding.

That kid is going to need a father, at least after one yr .
Time flies and the child will be older real soon and it'll be too late to make it up. Most kids have problems when there's no father around.

Wow.....just wow on so many levels...and none of them in a good way. I'll join the others and not sharing my true thoughts. I really don't need a vacation.

Get used to that life if you leave your wife and child. There is this thing called child support, maybe you have heard of it?

Same. Maybe show lines don't have the same drive or energy as a working line but they still need to exercise.

Just because they'll happily lay around all day with their guardians doesn't mean it's good for their health.

Most Shepherds will follow their owners right off a cliff but it does not mean it's in their best interest to do so.
