Well, first of all, some of you have a short memory, and I applaud this person for coming forward and asking. While I do agree, it's better for a kid to have an active father, a pizzed off father doesn't do anybody any good. This person has a lot on their plate, in case again, some may have forgot. many of us had the same doubts. I think this person should do what they want to do, and not what they HAVE to do. I spent 35 years in an industry that I really didn't like, but due to my obligations, I had to and toughed it out, all for naught, I might add. I lost everything anyway. I say, get the job you want, and they will always be your kid, and who knows? Social media today is a God send. Years ago, pa left in a truck, and didn't hear from him for 2 months. Try that! I all but guarantee, the old lady won't see it that way, but tough, you're the one that needs to be happy. Good luck, pal.

Trucking can either make or break a marriage. Looks like in your case trucking will make the marriage. Good luck guy

Yup. I just dropped in again to see how the voting was going. No surprises there. No further interest either.
I'm glad for one thing though...that the OP isn't part of my family structure in any way. Somebody would have poured honey on his feet and left him tied to a tree in the woods a long time ago.

Don’t need no vacation, so I’ll keep my thoughts to myself except for two…

    1) If you don’t want to be married and raise a son, who will undoubtedly look up to you as his dad, then tell your wife it’s divorce time.

    2) I had my beagle with me for a good number of years, she got to see the country and now gets to see our yard and her favorite spot on the couch.

Glad you got your past problems fixed now fix these!!!

    to quote someone I follow:

    Do better, be better!!
