Rates suck now so youre timing for maternity leave is a lot better than the other girls.

I’ll never get it, a family to support and people getting pregnant.

people will repeat the cycle instead of breaking them. Prioritizing what’s important is key to success,

My parents did follow my advice, back then one parent was at home watching the kids while the other was the bread winner. Not saying dont have kids, I’m saying have kids when you can watch them. Who’s going to watch that newborn when both parents are out? All the money made will be spent on childcare and having someone else raise your kid isn’t a good thing.

If life went as planned thered be no such thing as accidents, bankruptcy, divorce, cheap freight or spilled milk.

My first kid and marriage were accidents. Best things i ever did.

have you any clue how drastic the economy has changed? do you realize what you describe is impossible for most middle class people? and has been for more than a decade?

I get it, it’s hard. Reason why you plan on not having kids until you can manage.

your telling me it’s ok to have a kid and hit the road? A parent has to raise that kid at least a few hours a day if day care is the only choice. But to have a kid and then go OTR as a parent shouldn’t even be an option.

my issue is why have a new kid when you are working OTR job to keep the ones you already have.

and don’t tell me about being hard for middle class single income family.

I’m an immigrant and doing the same exact thing. What’s other people’s excuses?
