LB what is CRAZY to me is that in this low income town/state the rent and hotels and things are about the same.....blows my mind really. You could MAYBE find a roach hotel for under 70 a night through the week. Rent for a 4 bedroom is 800 on the low end, bad neighborhood, and 1200+ for a good one.
I do know that leaving the kids for anymore than a week would be impossible. I guess I was hoping they were kinda hiring on the spot, which is what I have been lead to believe by others.
IM READY TO GOOOO!!! Hubby......not so much

Yeah some are hiring on the spot , but keep in mind on the spot could be two weeks with
drug and background checks. On thing I found is there are a whole lot of people running
from there past. So companies are a little more careful on who they are hiring. If you husband
has CDL take a look at pumpco.com website they need frac personal . I think I will be starting as early as next week. -
Just keep the faith daniegurizie
When you get to the end of all light and reason that you know, and its time to step into the realm of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things will happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly. E. Teller Abram had no concrete reason to leave his family, country, and kindred; but because God said so he did. It worked out better than he imagined. Hmm! Columbus sailed to prove the world was round, he wasnt completely sure but had faith it was. The Wright brothers risked life and limb because they had faith that man could one day fly across the sky. Men and women like them have often come before us and with nothing butfaith in God and faith in themselves, have made great lives for themselves and others. The true test of faith is not having everything in hand or life completely ordered before stepping out, its stepping out fully trusting God will make a way, and with whatever he provides it will be sufficient for the task. God can still do the impossible, but we have to have the faith to attempt it first. Until tomorrow Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. Hebrews 11:1-2 -

-
@Mark, LOL OOOOPS mine are girls, 5 and 3, and theirs is a boy, 1 year old. I just talked to a company that says they could have jobs waiting in as little as 3-4 days after completed paperwork. stevenstanker.com
LB I hear ya on the faith thing, my opinion is that we can do just as bad somewhere else....
and we are running, just not from anything illegal, family and the poor house is all I want away from
If the stevenstanker thing works out, Im SOLD, hoping they will be too. If not, we will keep looking and trying I reckon lol
speaking of "reckoning" I dont know how to put this delicately, but I have heard that the schools and population is much more, uhhhh, multicultural than we are used to. From what I was told by my completely biased friend who doesnt want us to leave was that especially in schools that my kids will be a minority. Is this completely true? -
Well that's a PC way of putting it. Lol Texas has a lot of people of Latin descent
But if your looking too improve your lot in life. You have deal with a multicultural
world. Your kids will be fine they will adjust a hell of a lot better than the adults.
just tell you hubby to get on the road and hit a region of Texas and make it
a job of finding a job. Oh I forgot to mention when your driving down there
he will see a lot of billboards for jobs -
