right now I've been given several offers. I'm strongly considering Paul transportation driving flatbeds. their operating center is out of Tulsa Oklahoma. They say they're out 12 to 14 days then come back for 3 days. no tanking. lots of dry van but they seem to pay pretty low

Tulsa is a tough area. But not too bad considering. Just a awful lot of people in that river valley trying to get on with life on a working mans wage.

If you are really lucky, you will have a McAlester OK Account. That town only does one thing in life. Make bombs for the military and then goes home to check their work on the night news when those things go off killing terrorists etc.

    and here’s your issue.

you’ve worked for three companies in less than a year.

Schneider and Magnum are both decent companies to start at. But it doesn’t seem you were at either more than a month or two out of a trainers truck.

I hope you found something that fits.

to make money you have to pay your dues and that equals time out on the road doing the job Bubba

One thing to keep in mind friend is that the only two things that are permanent are death and taxes.

So you can have a driving job that doesn't completely suite your needs, but you can get by, and also advance yourself, but then chance to something that works better for you later.

We are entering into very hard times from now probably until the end of the year.

My humble advice is that you take a reefer job and put some bread and bacon on your table. Then next year do whatever you want.

There's still a lot of reefer freight that needs to be moved.

Our local drivers make between 18-19 an hour with a lot of overtime. I still have to sometimes make a pick up here or there on mile pay because there aren't enough hourly guys to do it. Not often, but it happens when I gotta pick up from Uhaul. Please drive and do that so I can just go home.
