impedance matching Transformers for audio

    Hi...i am a new user here. As per my knowledge Winding Transformers is a whole different ballgame and it's pretty much an art form.
    I know the primary winding is half as many wraps or turns as the secondary winding for a 4:1 impedance ratio. Frequency response is also critical and I don't even know how to factor that into the equation

    You and me both. Fortunately I've evolved into the wonderful world of electrets. Also the Palomar SL41 is now available to the public and has a great output level as well as a very wide frequency response. I guess it's not very critical that I put my EV 602 collection to use
