    It still blows me away to be in 11000' high valleys.......

    Yeah, talking about high places, Leadville is supposedly the highest incorporated city (or town) in the country. Well, years ago, I was a Sgt. on the PD in Calipatria, CA, which is supposed to be the LOWEST incorporated city (or town) in the country.

    Being a native of Colorado, I took a lot of vacations there, and on more than one occasion met an old bud who was a Sgt. on Leadville PD for coffee. We always had to chuckle about our various "heights.":biggrin_25517:

    uh... I think it's US285, not 287. Coming down the southwest side of Kenosha pass into the South Park valley; love that stretch of road. And plenty of other places as well down 285.

    Yep...You are right.....287 runs parallel with 25 N/O Denver right?

    Yep. 287 runs N of Denver into Laramie WY, and eventually gets into/near Grand Teton and Yellowstone.
