What's more important... D.O.T and your csa score or a stressful job where you're a basically a slave. Most likely any job can be replaced.

That ain't no ####. And hey watch the snot nose super trucker comment. No I don't want hog tied lol. But there is super trucker and there's doing what you have to. 900 in 13 hours is super trucker. 900 in 24 hours that's not too horrible. 615 in commiefornia would be legal if the #### tards would raise their speed limit. But with 55 nope not going to happen. Tell dispatch the freight in the trailer is not going to die if it sits on there for a little while and your cdl is more important than getting their freight there on time.

once you realize that they lied to get the load. and then lost it in the office and a few days later found it. and said oh shat!!! this load needs to be picked up in 10 minutes. so they pulled your number and stuck you with it. and now your stuck on some ones screw-up. and your probably going to get blamed for it. and the disbatcher will get congratulated for getting the load deliverd. while you get yelled at for being late.

I believe that IDC does care about safe and legal. It's individual morons who are the issue. However, those morons do set the pace.

I've politely explained that I will NOT run illegal. Yesterday she wanted me to pick at 7.5 hrs into my break, then run 6.5 hrs. I put the numbers onto the QUALCOMM asking her to show how to make it legal...

Good news, she went back Canadian drivers only so I'm back with my original DM who did her job right and listened without prejudice when issues occurs. My original DM's 1st statement was: "I'm not a driver, you tell me what you need." Me very happy....

No, IDC does not care about "safe and legal". No carrier does. Carriers only care about profitability. What you see as caring about "safe and legal" is actually your company abiding by the 11th Commandment-"Thou shalt always cover thy rear".

If they give you such a load, and you run it and get busted, well I'll just bet there's all kinds of company policy that states what you should have done as far as contacting dispatch and either repowering or rescheduling. You, the driver, get hung out to dry. If you don't get busted, the company knows they have a "runner" and you get to catch all the crap loads until you do get busted.

Evil little secret of trucking, been around as long as regulation. Companies can and will push drivers to violate the rules to improve profitability. Even today, in the environment of CSA and DOT crackdowns, its a game of "don't get caught, and you'll be fine".

The only entity that gives a red rat's patootie about your score and your safety is, wait for it now.....YOU!
