No the officer was not on call, he drove thru a path in the woods to get to the back of the street (power line service entrance) Im not going to try and ruin his career, and hopefully he wont try to ruin mines, ill just ask for the points to stay and pay the $155 ticket. Ill just think of it as fuel money that got lost

That was my first question... But even with the decal about 50 feet you are still at fault. I know in MI and CO they dont investigate accidents on private property unless there are at least 1 of 4 mitigating factors involved.. But given it was a cop car most likely they are in the right to ticket, and I woulda too if it were my assigned cruiser. Expect them to come after you for the cost of repair too... Cincinatti PD came after my grandmother years ago after having rear ended a cruiser.

btw, if you do make a you tube video about a stupid cop , you probably better plan on moving to another county lol -
BINGO... you're sign warns the officer of his infraction. He parked too close and ignored posted warnings. Take it to court and provide a photo of that warning.
Always fight tickets... and look into your mirrors before backing.
He'll likely not show up,... if he does, you may benefit with a lesser charge because he failed to heed a posted warning.
It's worth the fight.

That's some funny stuff right there!
Next time you are in that situation use your handbrake until you have gotten some forward momentum that way you won't roll backwards. -
OKKK its been awhile so ill give an update, i went to court on time, the cop that i had the incident was late, still being friendly as usual neither of us got tickets, his CO was there and the hwy patrol aske me " so mr......... would you like to get out of a ticket today? i was like yes very much so, so he gave me a paper saying "the state of SC vs Me......dismissed" lol i was happy happy happy. went to take the road test and had a flat on the pretrip, went the second time then the weather got back, went a third time then i passed. i guess 3 times is the charm.
truckon and superpet39 Thank this. -
Congratulations Truckman!
I agree w/ the previous statement:
"Always ALWAYS fight a ticket".
My father was a judge. When tickets didn't get dismissed, they usually got reduced to non-moving violations, unless it was a major infraction.
Goodluck w/ your trucking career! It sounds like you do have a good head on your shoulder for a 21 y/o.
