The ride on my 2005 T600 front end has always been rough. Is there any way to improve this. The fuel tanks are mounted under the doors so I'm always a min of 12000 on the steering.

Horton roller pins and bushings, and move 5th wheel back as far as legal. Also check/replace front cab bushings, you will be amazed at what a difference it will make.

drove a 95 t600. it was nice with all it's air bags. defenitely much smoother then the w900. which has less then half the bags. and nothing on the cab.

pull your 5th wheel back 3 notches. that'll take the 750 pounds off the steers and put them on the drives.

unless your pulling a tank then there's nothing you can do. the drives are going to be around 34 so you need that 12,500 on the steers.

AG 130 (KW air/leaf setup that replaces your steer axle spring packs.) Very nice ride, unfortunately very pricey- price quote for my 2007 T800 was .approx. $3800 for the parts.
Unless I win the powerball, I will prolly go with the Horton pins, and an after market air bag set setup that mounts on top of the steer axle springs. Can't recall the name, but they advertise in some of the truck sales mags available at the truck stops. talked to a few guys around the Hartford, IL/St. Louis area, and they really like the ride it gives. Downside is about $1800, and instead of leveling valve, this kit uses a regulator that you have to:
    (1) Adjust it till you find the sweet spots.
    (2) For best ride, you have to re adjust regulator loaded / empty

I have my fifth wheel back as far as possible, its centered between the drives. I carry 300 gals of fuel when full so thats why I'm always at the 12000 lb mark. I've heard about the Horton roller pins and bushings so thats a thought. Thanks for the idea of the cab bushings, that never even came to mind, will have to look at those. Thank you

I've talked to a couple of guys that have put on the after market air bags, they say that for the most part they take the sharpness out of bump. Like if you're going over some tracks or a frost heave you wont get that real hard hit that you normally would.

so what do you haul to get that. cuz i can't get over 11,300 on the steers. with full tanks and 34k on the drives. i run my 5th wheel about 9 nothces back. which is about the halfway mark between drives.

I haul dry van freight, nothing special. With my fuel tanks set forward, under the doors, I have no problem whatsoever getting 12000+ on the steers. My trailer has a 36" pin setting. If I move my fifth wheel forward I can get 13000+ on the steers. The regular place where I load out of I am usually grossing from 78800-79200, and my steers are at 12300 full of fuel.

that's the difference. the position of the tanks. mine are farther back. under the left door is 4 batteries and under the right door is a compartment box.
