I never had to chain up, which is good since we never carry chains around here. I just lock the differential and power through the muck. There were a few times I didn't think I was going to make it up a few steet frac roads when it was raining though.
OTR guys don't have it easy. Some of those dock sites in cities are a mess, but geting into them is definitely a skill that can be learned, provided you pay attention and have someone who knows what they are doing to teach.

We have a small store in Robstown. Only four pumps. The only thing it seems to be realy good for is getting robbed at night.
I have no idea what road it was to this day. Al I remember is that it was huge well complex way down 35, maybe 20 mles or so past the Gardendale LACT. It was a huge area with two ways in and two ways out and dozens of well and frac sites. Had more security than any well site I had visited to that point, probably because of its proximity to the border. I still can't believe it when I think about how my partner's truck would completely dissapear in the brush when he wasonly fifty yards ahead of me. All you could see was red lights in the bush. How one of us didn't get stuck or get a flat I'll never know. -

Lease roads never really bothered me, unless I had a fifteen mile run on one. It was when you made a wrong turn that got me. Not to many places to turn around out there if you make a mistake.
teqntexas Thanks this. -
However, backing it up must be tons of fun! -

The road that's really bad 24/7 is Faith Ranch Road, the dirt road that goes off the end of 186, SSW of Carrizo Springs.teqntexas Thanks this.
