i'll tell you what, we had them back in my day. they were heavy. if i recall some sort of bakelite material?
and if you managed to rip one from the cord, and smacked someone with it?
it would leave an actual dent in thier heads.
this is the same material the old distributor caps on cars would have had, only thinner. and they cracked fairly easily, letting water inside the cap, and killing the engines.
In case you haven't heard, comcheck changes in 2022.

Company I work for still used them for fuel until 2020. Finally got fuel cards then. God, it was so embarrassing getting fuel.
Dockbumper and bumper Jack Thank this. -
Mainly customers/unloading services now have the eComchecks so you really don't need a physical piece of paper. I've had a small stack of the same com checks in my truck for over a decade, just never get used much anymore.

A question.... comcheck you actually use a check?
I'm on EFS. Very rarely do they demand an actual check. Usually it's just the numbers they want. -
HOLD ON!!!!!
A MOD DID that!!!!!
Get good MODS!!!!! Lol. -
But you also had to keep track of the balance on that comcheck # you were issued -
I use them twice a month or more for truck wash.
See lots of drivers using them at Blue Beacons. -
We carry Comcheks for lumper fees, though these days most places don’t need the actual paper check, they just need the express code and amount. I think I’ve only had to use one actual Comchek in the last year.
MIT Thanks this. -
