I've heard they like to screw over their drivers. I don't plan on buying a truck and going O/O. I'm just looking for a decent living to get some time under my belt so I can pickup one of these local jobs that require experience.

Do you know what Prime starts at for the first year student?

A lot better than other big companies but I haven't worked there.

Who do you recommend NOT driving for? Probably makes it easier.

Last year Prime started me with .38 and if you go to the small lightweight truck they have you get another .05 to it making .43.
imho great starter co. have no regrets running for them. I only left for more ht.
    Good luck to you.

You said you was a91b in the army and had big truck experience. I'm curious how long have you been out? Several states allow your experience in a position such as that to translate over to getting a waiver for the test and just fast track to your CDL. You should look into it.

What division do you suggest there? And is that $.38 during training or after? I'm not interested in buying/leasing.

What about Con-way Truckload/XPO/CFI???? They train and take new CDL holders I believe.
