In your opinion which is the best sounding diesel engine?

    Especially one under a hard pull. It's hard to mask the sound of those cubic inches.

    that one sounds really nice

    seems to be very uncomfortable comparing to euro trucks-and it is 3axle..... ,now i understand why Americans do not like coe.....

    I would say the old 3406B 425 Cat's, they had a beautiful sound to them, especially working from a start in the low gears.

    I loved how my 2004 ACCERT sounded, with the window open, the 2 turbos going was a LOT of scream, it was so high pitched it hurt my ears, anytime I had the windows open and I came to a red light, I put them back up so my ears could survive the take off.

    It was great when people stared in awe thinking how much power it must have for the tremendous amount of turbo whistle, if only they knew she was a dog with those stock mufflers :biggrin_25513:
