Looked like second truck jack knifed and everyone had no where to go
All4Safety Thanks this. -
That area is always a mess with everyone trying to get on the 294 south exit ramp. Always has been a mess.
mjd4277 Thanks this. -
And how. There’s always vehicles trying to jockey for position to make the exit ramp to the Tristate, typically waiting to the last second to get in the right lane and almost always cutting off a truck in the process.
-
And truckers (especially the local ones) are the worst about that.Lepton1, All4Safety and mjd4277 Thank this.

The scary part is the fact that they had to call a foam truck from O’Hare Airport (about 15-20 minutes away) to respond.

Sorry, not from my experience. You've got many otr guys caught in the middle lane because they think they can get around the merging traffic from North ave and St. Charles rd. With the right lane bumper to bumper, they've got no place to go.
For the record, it was an otr guy that failed to stop and pushed a four-wheeler under the container.Lepton1 and All4Safety Thank this. -
Every local can hauler and every other obvious local truck I see runs the center lane as far as they can then they "act all surprised", stop, and force somebody to let them in. Never fails. Those that don't go through there much, I can accept them getting caught off guard, but the locals? That's just pure selfishness and rudeness.
