Incident is what all those “million mile accident free” drivers don’t report. Especially at big companies where it’s hard to keep track of equipment.

Safety don't look at it that way. In all honesty you need to take correction to stop these incidents. Your slowly screwing yourself into the ground. You don't need any of us telling you what you should already know. You do not need a high IQ to be a trucker. However you need a small modicum of common sense and attention to detail. Lack either and your career is not going to last much longer. I'm not going to blow sunshine up your butt. Get with doing this job the correct safe way or get the hell out of it!!!

Moose, you're mean. Telling it like it is is just downright mean, you should have sugar coated the respond.

    Me?

If I had a driver who had one accident and one inicident, he is not driving for me any more. I had already a couple who I yanked trucks out from under them (meaning I fired them where ever they were and left them to deal with getting home themselves) because of their carelessness and lying about ... the trigger was the lying about it.

The op should find another line of work.

I guess so. I am in my old age turning into my father. I have been accused of becoming that old curmudgeon safety manager we all as young drivers feared. In fact I recently was told by an active safety lady that I was an arsehole. I guess I am. However I will not apologize for being this way.
