the other problem, just because it rains here does not mean it rained at the location of the fields. the one night it rained good here but did not rain elsewhere so i ended up working. how else would i know that unless i got a response.

im guessing you dont have any kids or a wife, or perhaps you wanted to escape your wife? i did the OTR life for 3 months, hate is not a strong enough word.

not only does the rain effect this job but also the wind. i have lost work due to windy days. the conditions literally have to be perfect.

No I do local now cause I have to care for a family member, so I can't be gone. Or I'd be gone lol. First X is in Weed, CA, that was one of the most stunning young women you could ever imagine ( like a 9+ ), and is now a toothless BEAST. Second X was probably a 7+ and is now in Nashville and weighs about 350 pounds and is a BEAST. Daughter and grandkids are in Sacramento.

You should try redi mix concrete companies. CEMEX is the biggest. They make good money. If you don't mind being humbled get on with an outfit that does honey dippers. You gotta go door to door. Don't know how much experience you have, but 3 months will not get many peoples interest. That doesn't mean your SOL, cause I saw people get hired with 0 experience just cause they knew somebody.

Just go out and beat the bushes and keep trying.

i longer i go through this process the more aggravating it gets. i want a local job at $16 per hour or so starting wage, ok i have that. i want a local job at $16 that actually gives me work 5 days a week 40 hours plus. good grief. i would take a factory job that pays that wage at this point, but they dont exist they are all temp service very low paying jobs.

i would rather continue on my career path but there are serous obstacles preventing me from doing so.

Now I remember you. Your the guy that got fired
For doing absolutely nothing wrong from a mega.
Now your having problems somewhere else.

Maybe this trucking thing is not for you.
By the way those trashy OTR drivers you claim
Are working for free are making 2 and 3 times
    What you are.

never called an OTR driver trashy i respect what they do but its not a quality life. i might as well join the military. if i get 40 hours in a week im fine with $16, i dont care.

and frankly you guys do work for free ALLOT. how long do you have to sit at a shipper before you get paid for it? sitting in company equipment for 34 hours is joys. border crossing anyone? how long can you get tied up at customs before you get paid? no thanks.

im happy driving locally provided i get the work.

i had one week i had overtime and made $800 take home, if every week was like that

im not looking to get into another poop slinging contest here. i lived in a truck for 2 months and it was enough. im not spending a lifetime doing that. especially when i have a wife that's 3 months pregnant

I'd make the commute to Rochester for work. Go on Rochester craigslist. Jobs. Transport. Then skim through all the jobs and find the local ones. Usually the local ones dont have ALL CAPITAL LETTERS for a title.
