ChinaT, those carriers at the bottom of your list all show a required 6 to 12 months holding a wheel, but are good to keep in mind.
I found info on most of the carriers on the top list except Sygma. I found the company but not much info on how to apply. I found a Harrisburg address and pulled that up in Google Earth Street view. In doing that, I discovered another way to possibly find a carrier to at least check into. There are trucks parked along some of the roads with the carriers name on the side. I am using Google Earth to go through that industrial park and over near Carlisle. I found what I believe is an OC for YRC and I'm not sure how they never made my original list. They hire new CDL grads and it appears they may have an in house CDL program but I can't tell for sure. -

Where are you? $6k is high. I paid $4k and I could have beating that by a little over a grand but would have had to drive another hour a day combined so I didn't but you should shop around a little more. CC's are a good way to go.

yep , just skip school and go with Schneider.there a good company and you can write your own ticket after a yr with them, and you CAN do IT.set up your bank account to put away $100 a week. your a single man save, save,$$$ for that car or the trip or something you've dreamed of. you'll be surprised how quick the time goes by,and that savings account grows. i raised 4 children and put them thru in college on the money i saved,$5.200 a yr X25 yrs $130000.00+ interest.and that was just putting away $100.00 a week, not counting my regular pay.
