Really that's interesting. I had no idea the mob had interests in truckstops.

The burritos at Dhillon are pretty good. In many areas of India, restrooms are no more than a hole in the floor and a bucket of water to wash your butt. The better ones have a bidet. I spent a couple of weeks on the southern coast there after the tsunami. I won't go into the other restroom details, but definitely not like here.

However, many of the Indian immigrants here are from North India, Punjab. And this is much different from the south and many other areas of India. The Punjabi's pride themselves on being more advanced, or higher caste, than many other Indians. Apart from the restrooms it would seem.

Just remember. They say often times the condition of the restrooms is reflective of the condition of the kitchen. Unless that's just the way it is in Indian culture.

I've heard that the TA in NJ on I-295 used to be owned by a mob family. It wasn't called a TA's then but was later bought out by TA.

Yeah, I am always more skeptical of food at a place when the restrooms are dirty. In the country of India there's not much you can do. You have to eat . I don't eat much of it here. Sometimes I'll get one of those burritos and not eat it all or try something else. The key is to not eat much. Of course that goes for Taco Bell also.

Did you ever see the movie slumdog millionaire you can see there bathroom habits in one scene of that movie. And not to mention the Ganges river google that one day. You might throw up a little in your mouth.

I haven't seen that movie. I didn't go to the Ganges when I was there, but I heard the stories.

That was a Union 76, before TA bought out the 76s. It was a company store, not a franchise. Company stores had the same old choke and puke menu in the resturants. Franchises had their own menus and were usually pretty decent.
