Have had a good couple of runs. After I delivered in City of Industry, and a tank wash, I picked up grape juice in Delano, CA and I’m delivering in Joplin, MO in the am.

Man it sounds like IRT keeps you moving and you sure cover a lot of ground. And I’ve only dealt with reefer washouts and now end dump washouts every now and again, how is the, or should I say how long is the process, of washing out a food grade tanker? Can you just roll into a Blue Beacon and get it washed out?

We go to tank wash facilities. I’ve been to a few. The ones I’ve been to are nice, but it does take some time. Depends on how busy and the type of wash you need. There are different levels of washes. On average, It’s taken me between 3-4 hours to get washed, but they have had free showers and laundry, TV and driver lounge.

They definitely keep you moving. My last week, Monday to Monday, I did 3,589 miles.

Do they haul orange juice? I can't figure out why they'd want to be located in Florida. Is orange juice a big part of their business? I can't think of what else they could haul out of Florida.
Are all the trucks those flat tops or do they have any taller double bunks for those who want to take their spouse?

We haul juice and milk out of Florida. I’m sure there is probably more, but that’s what I usually haul out or deadhead to Texas.

As for the trucks, they’re not flattops. I’m 6,3 and stand up and still have to reach alittle to hit the roof. My truck is a double bunk. It was a team truck, so I know we have them.

So are they the same size as a freightliner cascadia double bunk that van fleets use?

They are different. I think the Peterbilt has less room and definitely less storage if a double bunk. I use the top bunk for storage.

Not too crazy about the trips to the NE or over the mountains.

Do they have anything dedicated like Southern California to New Mexico and back?
