Yeah that was just a "playful" poke at you. Seems the only way you can get one closed around here is to get a good debate/ healthy disagreement going! Again just joking.

Let's get back to discussing IRT, please.Kahlua Thanks this. -
Be very careful at Citrofrut in McAllen when the lot gets muddy. I almost got stuck twice last night. And I was empty.

What is Indian Rivers policy with personal Conveyance and Elogs?

Tankers and Reefers are so very different when it comes to trucking. At IRT I never touched a hose or dome lid. I did climb up on tope to check seals. Never had a multiple stop load. Never micro managed got load, delivered and got another via phone or QUALCOMM. Yeah I didn't make 1200 week more around 950, but I was able to drive and be left alone. That's what made IRT a good place to work.
REO6205 Thanks this. -
Looking forward to the day when I'm able to keep my head above water financially without having to forego hometime. Tired of taking time off, going broke by the time I've been back at work for a few days, and having to spend a couple of weeks after that digging myself back out of the hole. It's getting old quickly.

hmm, I have a theory here. no idea if it carries any weight but its a fun thought (sadly)
what if that's the point? what if companies pay drivers so badly they can't afford to go home so they work 8 days a week to make as much money for the company as possible
think about it, they complain about hometime, they limit it since they don't make any money when you're at home. Holding you and your wallet hostage to where you are begging for work
IRT leaves you alone as long as you are loaded.
in most other industries its customer service who gives you money, here its put a warm body in a seat and give them a load. Most industries have massive layoffs when they have an inflation of employees, if they have 20 employees they find a way to elimate them since they actually COST the company money, in Trucking if you have 20 trucks then you'll make more money than a company with 10-15 trucks. if there is an inflation of employees they just either buy more trucks or shift people around (they can't afford layoffs really)
its just a theory I have. I don't know if it holds any actual weight but its something to think about
