I was at Opies the other day and I can't help but wonder why are we washing there? why are we giving our competitors our money? also aren't they worried about their drivers being recruited?

I always liked Opies tank wash. Got to do laundry for free there, shower, and watch TV while getting washed. Just like in Tulare, CA. Plus every time I left Opies I usually got a really good run out of American Yeast going to Bakersfield California.

I've done 3 loads out of American Yeast, one to Rhinelander, WI to a place that's located in the middle of town and surrounded by restricted routes. one to Bakersfield (great run if you ignore the California part) and most recently to Baltimore.

but I also do like the tank wash in Tulare! the only bad thing is they don't speak English. (oh, and the fact its California)

Last time I delivered in Bakersfield I washed in Tulare, loaded for Nebraska in Turlock and spent the night in Reno at a casino along the way. Had a few beers and lost $100. Ran I-80 all the way to Norfolk.

i'm not trying to one-up you but last time I went to Bakersfield I was deadheaded to Prosser, WA to go to Newark. No idea why I was deadheaded so far, but whatever.

i've been IN California Thrice, and all three times they've done a good job getting me out (and in too, sadly) does anyone else have the same experience?

The first time I went to California for IRT was from McAllen. I took a load to Ontario, washed in Tulare, loaded in Visalia, and was sent from there to Bradenton Florida Tropicana (2600+ miles). This last time I went to Nebraska from Turlock then to Oneida New York.
