Hi again, I don't think I clicked the reply button on your last post to notify you, sorry. At any rate, It actually said, "We're Sorry, No Jobs Found", but I think I will still call the Recruiter, on Monday.Last edited: Aug 7, 2021
Reason for edit: adjustments made. -
We don't solicit referral fees or discuss them on TTR. That's private business between you and whomever.88 Alpha, Lonesome, Tanker_82 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Oh, Ok. I should have known. Sorry about that.

I’m sure it’s a website glitch. Calling a recruiter is the way to go.
I appreciate the thought on the referral, but that’s never been my intention with this thread. If my memory serves me correct, with the exception of a driver I worked with for several years at a previous company, I’ve only referred one person throughout the 4.5 years I’ve worked here, and it was a guy I met face-to-face at a tank wash in Avondale, Arizona back in 2017. Our TRANSFLO cover sheets have the company job application on the backside. Running into a person at random and physically handing them one is really the only way I feel comfortable being a referral. I think doing it that way versus referring people online is more legitimate too.
I started the thread years ago to get input on how e-logs affected the company before hiring on. Ever since then, I’ve made it a point to update my honest experiences and answer the questions I can along the way. When a few other IRT drivers started posting, it sort of became a place to visit, share info, and help new hires out.
Good luck to you on your talk with the recruiter.lv gn, Bud A., Speed_Drums and 3 others Thank this. -
Sounds good to me. I have talked to IRT drivers on the road when I was driving. Seems like a cool place to be. This Thread is another testimate to that coolness, Thanks Again. I will call soon. Happy Travels, take care.
Tanker_82 Thanks this. -
Does anyone have any knowledge of the operations at the Bensalem terminal? I know they run regional out of there, but do they have OTR? Right now I haul spring water locally, but I have to share a truck with another driver during the week, and on my days off. I'm not a fan of sharing/slip seating. You have to take everything with you at the end of the day, and if you get a partner like I have, end up taking on all the upkeep (washing, filling fluids, etc)
I love tanker work, so I'm kicking around the idea of applying at Indian River. I live 2 hours away from Bensalem. Any problem with that?Last edited: Sep 7, 2021

You can run OTR if you want. Being based in Bensalem doesn't mean you have to do NE regional, I don't think there is even an official regional classification. There are guys that run a dedicated account and work the ports, but I would class them as local. They work Monday to Friday with weekends off.
Someone mentioned something about having to leave your truck at the terminal if you live within 90 miles but I am not clear about that or if it's set in stone.
I work primarily out of Bensalem but I'm an OTR driver with Winter Haven FL being my home terminal. The load planning comes out of Florida anyway, so doubt it really matters.
The actual Bensalem terminal is OK, nowhere as nice as terminals I have encountered at other companies but it gets the job done. The biggest plus point is it's location right off 95 and central to the two ports the majority of the loads come out of.
Any other questions, feel free to ask.Tanker_82, Voyager1968 and xlsdraw Thank this. -
Hey RedTwin,
Have you heard of a company called Trimac they have a terminal in Bristol PA, do you know anything about them. Thanks -
I have heard of trimac, they are out here in nevada state and the west coast. You need hazmat endorsement, and solid employment history. Hair follicle testing, $100k a year
