Coincidentally, I’m currently offloading at an Ocean Spray in Henderson, NV just south of the Vegas strip which is visible in the distance. If you come here, I wouldn’t plan on parking overnight or coming in early. Spare real estate to hang out on is limited, and I got the impression from the security guard who opens the gate after calling the receiving department that they like to honor the appointment time given. They have a few slots to stage in off the street, but they were occupied by box van drivers when I got here. There’s plenty of parking at exit 12 on I-15 near the California state line, though, and it’s only a half hour away.REO6205 Thanks this.

The wife and I live just down the road from the terminal in Winter Haven, Fl. and decided to talk a walk along the new sidewalks on County Rd. 542/Dundee Rd. We are really impressed with how neat and clean Indian River keeps their grounds and buildings. It is a true testament we hope that if they take pride in their grounds that they take care of their employees too. We can't believe the vast number of new tractors in the yard just waiting for drivers to change out the old tractors. If I wasn't retired and 73 I would consider hiring on to drive for them.

Since you live there in Winter Haven, I used to deliver milk to Borden there, it was another name then I was doing it, but is the bay over against the wall still a little "tight" getting in or have they improved it any?Tanker_82 Thanks this.

We drop and hook at that facility, but I’m familiar with the corner bay you’re asking about since that is where the basket sits that we walk over and leave our paperwork in. I don’t go there very often, but the last time I was there I didn’t notice any changes. It’s still looks like a tight, blindside 90 degree back in for the ones who do it.Grouch Thanks this.

I've never been inside their facilities but we passed it yesterday while driving through town and that yard does look to be very tight in spots.

The first two bays closest to the city street are not bad, it is the 3rd bay over against the main building that is a pain. . Now either bay you go in, you still have to do a little blindside backing because you are actually heading in the wrong way and you make a turn to blindside a little to get straight and as I said, once you get straight the first two bays are easy. The 3rd bay did have yellow stripes painted on the pavement to guide you in, you are up against the wall on one side and dodging something sticking out of the building. but then it has been over 12 years since I have been there. and I really do not miss it. The sorry receiver at that time who worked the graveyard shift would never show up on time on sunday nights He would come in whenever it suited him. It was no problem in getting your 10 hrs off there.
