I left Clovis last Wednesday when I came back from home time. It's Wednesday night now and I'm back in Clovis. In these 7 days I have 3,526 paid miles. Here to San Antonio, there to McAllen, McAllen to Ontario California, there to Tulare California and then from Tulare back to Clovis. The period ended Monday night at midnight so obviously all those miles won't be on the same check, but nonetheless I was still able to turn 3,526 paid miles in 7 days when looking at the big picture.

Forgot I had asked you already lol...

Awesome thanks. Do you have pre planed fueling or can you fuel wherever you choose? What chain do you guys fuel at? So every few months you can ask the shop to reset that for you? That sounds like a cool thing. I wish they had apus though, losing that 71 mph freedom must suck... I know I hate being down here at 65 lol.nextgentrucker Thanks this.

Along with every load assignment you receive comes a "fuel solution" message and "route solution" message. I think I've actually read or used those maybe 3 or 4 times in all the loads I've ever hauled. Fuel where you want when you want. They don't micromanage any of that. You can also drive whichever route you want. That said, if a guy abused the system and drove hundreds of miles out of route I assume you might hear from somebody about it. I fuel at Loves, TA, Pilot anywhere I want and never hear a word from anyone about it. You don't even have to go in and get your fuel receipt.nextgentrucker and Dharok Thank this.

Yes I had a sigh of disappointment the day I was cruising along in Pennsylvania and noticed my speed drop down to 66 because it had started warming up and I had been idling non stop for the previous few weeks prior to that day. Lol. I've been running 66 ever since then. When October gets here I'll swing thru a terminal though and have them clear the history on it. I would rather be happy and cozy at 66mph than hot and miserable at 71mph.nextgentrucker, Suspect Zero and Dharok Thank this.

Oh trust me. I turn my Apu on as soon as that key goes off. I'd like to idle and still drive 71 lolnextgentrucker Thanks this.

Mine has the Cummins Smart Pass on it. Get behind a pack of Swifts I can tap the pedal twice and it'll run 68 mph for 3 minutes then drop back to 66. It only lets me do it about 7 or 8 times a day though so I save it for when I really need it.

I have been driving for 5 years, no tix no accidents. Last 4 years local last 2 hauling fuel. I hear 2yrs OTR recent experience is required by IRT. Is that a hard and fast rule?

I would apply and see what they say. I don't know how strict they are on that. I would think with your experience and clean record they would bring you on.nextgentrucker and pattyj Thank this.
