    Danny’s in Avondale, AZ
    Opies in Memphis, TN
    Quala in West Memphis, AR
    Chino in Grandview, WA
    Chino in Chino, CA
Tank wash (can’t recall the name) in Jerome, ID
Indiana Tank Cleaners in Gary, IN
I-96 Tank Wash in Ionia, MI
There’s one near Buffalo, NY but I can’t recall the name (it’s also a trucking company similar to Opies in Memphis)

Those are some that come to mind if you’re in a jam and need a place to park late at night. Don’t rely on the one in Gary, IN too much, as they have limited real estate. There are probably a half dozen more around the Midwest that I can’t remember the names of.

I’ve been known to park at various customers late at night as if I’m making a delivery or picking up a load, then I move along the following morning once my 10 is up. Most of them don’t care since they’re used to IRT trucks regularly being on their property. I like to use the tank wash laundry machines, too.

You get a free shower with a tanker wash out, like fueling 50 gallons at truckstops with diesel?

The ones I’ve been to don’t police it. You can use the shower if you’re there without anyone asking questions or wanting to confirm you received a wash out. Personally, I just use the laundry machines because the showers are a “bring your own towel” type thing. Loves, TA, Petro, and the J showers are nicer in my opinion (on top of them providing towels).

any drivers from TN, I know there aren't any established terminals in TN what about Drop Lots or places (customers) to park for Home-time or if you reside outside the terminal areas you can bring the truck home at your own expense & park it at a reserved truck stop spot (or secure location)? They pay for DH to the required Tanker W/O facilities since the WO is always required (I did take note of all you guys mentioning if there's a major delay, dispatch will work with drivers to drop a dirty tank or whatever the case may be to keep the truck/driver moving efficiently if that mans more DH so be it, did make a note of that)...

The 2 main customers I have been to in Murfreesboro don't have truck parking. The Opies in Memphis may allow it if asked, but I doubt it as it's pretty small and tanks are placed outside the gates.

Best bet is to ask recruiting if they know of any places.

I agree with Redtwin on the two places in Murfreesboro. One of them doesn’t even have room to allow a 10 hour break on their property, and we have to stage in the shoulder of the street if we arrive early or aren’t able to be received at our appointment. The other customer is a big facility with a controlled environment. You can do a 10 there after you deliver, but I don’t think leaving an unattended truck there for home time would fly.

There are two yeast customers in Memphis that I’ve been to a lot as well, but I don’t think parking will be an option there either. Although, I have parked near American Yeast when passing through late at night if the truck stops are full and I’m low on hours. I don’t go in their gate. I just park nearby as if I’m picking up there.

I can’t think of any tank washes in Tennessee other than the two in Memphis. It seems like I’ve been routed to Alabama or Georgia for a wash when I’ve emptied out on the east side of the state. Reserved parking at a truck stop is your safest bet. That’s what I do in San Antonio when I go home. I used to park at HEB there when we serviced that account. There were a half dozen IRT trucks there on a daily basis, and I would park right along the curb next the them and go home. Clovis dispatch called me one day and asked if I could find a different place because some of their regional drivers had complained about my truck taking up room for them to be able to stage early. Road construction had cramped things up where it became an issue. Nowadays, I just pay for the reserved at the Pilot.

Yes. Dead heads to tank wash facilities are regular paid miles. Dead heads from the wash facility to the next shipper are as well.

Has per diem ever come up to the fleet? I know they don't offer it but curious if that's ever been brought up, it does save drivers from federal taxes last company charged .01 for per diem but that put some drivers in a different tax bracket so it was worth it imo
