They didn't go with me. I think I'll need some more space between my two preventables (non-dot) from my first year. Too bad. Maybe down the line, I can try here or Oakley again.

 

They didn’t go with me either. Many trucking companies are being very picky now that freight has slowed down considerably. when it picks back up I’m hoping that they will be less picky.

 

too long out of driving for a verifible company. 2 years out is too long. want me to go to Western Express for 90 days then they would put me on, its the 90 days with Western I don't know about. 2 million miles then be retrained.
No accident, tickets, or incidents, current on everything. The guy I have been driving for, for the last couple of years is a all cash situation, which is fine but no good for driving records when it can't be searched. Funny the places I have been haauling out of haven't questioned anything except my Access ID, which I had. Oh well we'll figure it out.

 

I think it doesn't help that they are also getting a lot of applicants but they don't have enough positions for everyone. My recruiter told me the earliest I can go to orientation is the 10th.

 

I just checked in with the recruiter to see where I'm at and I guess everything is good on their end so they scheduled me for orientation on the 10th. They're gonna call me next week to schedule a drug screen. I'm glad they take care of it ahead of time so I'm not waiting for it at orientation like some companies do. And it sounds like I have the option of a flight or a rental car. I'm probably going with a car since I can bring more stuff with me that way.

 

Where are you going to orientation at?

 

They're sending me to Winter Haven.

 

Wow I thought they’d be sending you someplace closer.

 

Yeah I thought they would send me to Clovis or maybe Mission but I'm assuming they don't do orientation out of those terminals or something.

 

Probably due to availability of a truck. May not have a spare at one of the other locations.
