It isn't all drop and hook. I wouldn't like to give a percentage as it depends on the region you run in and the regular customers there.

I talked to a driver at IRT that used to work at Oakley and he said they were constantly getting on to him about his driving on the camera. Guy has been driving for years with no accidents and didn't appreciate being treated like that so he came here. For that reason alone I'd never work for Oakley. Indian River leaves you alone and lets you do your job, as it should be. It would be hard for me to leave this company just for that reason.

Note they no longer have driver facing cameras. They was disabled in 2019. Only camera they got takes 20 second clips. Before and after a event

I don't remember if he said anything about driver facing cameras. Just the fact that they would constantly monitor his camera recordings and call him to complain about the way he drives. Indian River has never said a single thing to me about the camera since I started in October.

How does the camera know when to turn on to catch the 20 seconds before an event?

The camera will alert safety to any driving situations they don't like. I got a call about following too closely once. I would assume the camera is constantly monitoring and if you have an incident within set parameters it alerts safety.

No clue what the various infractions may be, but I have had a hard brake event that was severe enough to trigger my own dash cam and the driving event thingy on the Qualcomm. Never heard anything about that. I would assume safety reviewed it and decided there wasn't anything worth calling me on.
