I'm still running OTR. It's been going pretty good except for July. It was a slow month but hopefully that will change soon

All is well on my end. I’ve been on home time this past week.navypoppop Thanks this.

The heat has been miserable this Summer. I’m ready for Winter with it in the teens and snow everywhere.navypoppop, Bumper and bentstrider83 Thank this.
-
Yea the heat is hurting business it seems. Been slow last month and my guess August won’t be any better. But as the weather gets a little cooler I bet we will be running full speed.
navypoppop and bentstrider83 Thank this. -
Still here running very few Canada loads though. I am seeing Bynum at a regular Canadian customer which is unusual. I suspect they have underbid IRT for those runs.
I'm running at lot more of the West than usual, well west of where I usually run.
I'm still making way more than local work and things are smooth sailing as usual so I will be here through the slow times.Tanker_82, navypoppop and bentstrider83 Thank this. -
Glad for the replies drivers. The wife and I sold our winter park model just up the road on Dundee Rd and went back to full time rv travel and we miss our walks past your terminal. Glad to hear that you all are ok even if the heat this year is too much for your loads.

I’m not worried I talk to a driver over at Flowtrans on the regular and that outfit seems to be very slow even after the purchase of GTS. I still believe the River is the best choice for food grade tanker work.
bentstrider83 and Tanker_82 Thank this. -
I visited with a driver who works for that company when we were at the same shipper in Tempe, AZ. last month. He wasn’t very happy and said he was trying to get on with Indian River so he could leave there.bentstrider83 Thanks this.

I thought about leaving for Caledonia so I could drive a manual trans and have an APU, but as much as I hate this automatic Indian River has some good loads and I'm not sure about giving that up.
navypoppop and bentstrider83 Thank this. -
That's wise thinking on your part, although I definitely don't blame you for wanting to have a manual transmission in front of a smoothbore trailer.Cobrawastaken Thanks this.
