I've got a question for you guys, for new drivers at IRT, do we get a trainer to train us on how to do things or do we just get thrown to the wolves and hope we make it lol.

Overall my experience with Indian River wasn't too bad, but they're not my favorite trucking company. I don't want that to deter anyone though. Everything said by Tanker_82, Redtwin, and all the other long time Indian River drivers who have posted here is true. IRT has its pros and cons, but sometimes one man's con is another man's pro. APU's being a good example. Some drivers just don't like em. So while it may not be the company for me, it could be for someone else. I'll probably be making my own thread for Caledonia Haulers after I've been there for a couple months and I can see if the grass is truly greener like it seems. Thanks @Tanker_82 for creating this thread and updating it for so long. Everything was accurate and I don't feel like anything was not what I expected at this company.CalculatedRisk, Speed_Drums, motocross25 and 6 others Thank this. -
