Man... I don't know much about LTL honestly, all I know is they drive at night or early morning, and you need your Double/Tripple and HazMat. If that's where the money's at, then maybe I should look over there.

Being in this business more than 25 years. Let me give you some advice… Branch out do things that people wouldn’t do… Like you don’t wanna run at night well if you do LTL you’re gonna be running at night quite a bit but you’re gonna be make good money at home frequently… If you put limitations on yourself then don’t expect to make the big money in this industry because those that do what others wouldn’t do generally make the good money..

You’re going to have to run when it’s dark out no matter what at some point. Get over it.

You are so right JohnBoy. I went with ConWay Southern Express back when they first came to Florida. I helped open the Orlando terminal and stayed with them for 14 years before retiring from them. Even though they went from CSE to Conway Freight and Conway Transportation and finally XPO bought them out, it was very easy to max out your paycheck without running the road and away from home. You were home every day and off weekends with company paid health benefits, company pension and company contributed 401K. It didn't get any better.

By the way JohnBoy how have you been?

That’s some good advice, sounds like LTL is where it is then.

It absolutely is. If your primary concern is making money and not a "lifestyle," it's hard to get more bang for your buck than LTL.

I ran otr for 20yrs. Stepped into a regional job then LTL. I’ve been making bank doing P&D LTL. I have a set schedule, home every night, and have made quite a few new friends with my job(s).

You really need to give it a shot, asap.
