Hopefully. I just recently found out that they no longer reimburse parking so the cost cutting is still going on.Friend, Knucklehead, nextgentrucker and 1 other person Thank this.

Aren’t there a lot of IR terminals across the nation you guys can park at?
If the above is true, does that help with the nationwide parking shortage?Friend and nextgentrucker Thank this. -

We can park at any of them if we are in the area. There are also several places throughout the country that we’re associated with that have available parking when we’re in a jam or passing through with low hours. I’m referring to customers, tank washes, industrial park side streets near both, drop yards, and areas you learn about as a driver here.
I rarely pay for parking anywhere unless I’m on home time. If I were to guess, I’d say once every two or three months. Redtwin obviously doesn’t have as many options in the Northeast. So, it’s probably more of a headache for him.
I think there will always be a shortage of truck parking nationwide. It seems like it gets worse every year with more and more trucks on the road.Sirscrapntruckalot, Friend, Speed_Drums and 7 others Thank this. -
Cool, how's the traffic up there? Decent, Good, Bad?Friend Thanks this.

We can park at Tank Washes? Some of them right, the ones that have more room. Also are they open 24/7?Friend Thanks this.

Most of the time you can. Some of them are open 24/7. Some of them close in the evening and/or part of the weekend. Don’t try to park at OJ’s in Kearny, NJ. You also need to spend some time going over the directions on how to get there, because it’s in an area without much forgiveness if you get lost.Friend, Knucklehead, drvrtech77 and 2 others Thank this.

####... Alright cool.Friend Thanks this.

Also anytime someone wants to build a truck stop a lot of municipalities say "Not in my town". Then they say "bring everything we need and then get out of my town and go somewhere else".Friend, nextgentrucker, TruckDriver87 and 7 others Thank this.

I don't have any issues parking in the areas I normally run because I know where I can park and how long it takes to get there so it is easy to plan my stops.
Where I run into issues is when I am in an unfamiliar area and I am unsure of where I can find parking. Most recently I was in OH and was maxing out my drive time to ensure I made delivery on time. I picked out a truck stop and thought I would be good to park there at 3pm but when I got there it was packed with dropped trailers etc presumably from drivers that lived locally. I had no drive time to go looking for another place so I grabbed the last reserved spot and paid for it. It's rare that I pay for parking, usually no more than 2 times a year and it was always reimbursed as I was under a load. Payroll said they don't that anymore so in the future I will just stop earlier instead of rolling the dice.Sirscrapntruckalot, Friend, Speed_Drums and 6 others Thank this.
