You can call Florida and ask recruiting if they have enough room on that run for another dedicated driver. There’s some Georgia to Mississippi, Alabama to Baton Rouge, and I think Georgia to Hammond, Louisiana loads too. Those are some that I’ve done in the Southeast. There may be more. I’ve also done Jacksonville, FL to Little Rock as well.

That sucks. You’d think the loader would have seen it missing when he opened the top to let it vent while he loaded it.

Has anyone stayed at the Wild Wild West Truck Plaza in Las Vegas? Going to be there in the morning and it looks to be the closest place to park for this customer.

Is this still the pay now ? Are they hiring right now ? Are there slow periods ? I would think that the work there would be very steady. Thanks for this thread.

I stayed there 3 days thru New Years Eve a few months ago. It was $10 per 24 hours to park and a 10 minute walk to the NY NY on the strip.

Thanks. I’m going to try and deliver early. It’s not scheduled till 7am tomorrow, but I can be there around 9am today. If I can’t, I’ll check out the truck plaza

Back at the end of December I took a load from TX to CA and when I got out there in that vicinity I received a message saying my load couldn’t be received until Jan 2nd. So I had a 3 day lay over in Vegas. I spent all 3 nights at the Wild West Plaza. Watched the New Years count down on the strip and everything. I walked to to the strip all 3 days and went to the Pilot each morning for shower then went right back to the Plaza. It was like a free New Years Eve vacation in Vegas. Lol. Win some you lose some in this industry. I definitely lucked out.

I apologize for forgetting to respond to your question. They raised it I want to say a penny or 2 per mile in February. Recruiting in Florida could give you more details. I hate to speak for them on here since I’m just a driver. My stubs go to a PO box and I’ve only been home a time or 2 since the changes were made so I haven’t dissected them yet. I can confirm that it’s what you quoted or a penny or 2 more.
