They are still that way. Fortunately, we drop and hook there 99.9% of the time. Laurel is more of a shipping facility for us than it is a receiving. When we do deliver loads there, they have us back in to get sampled in one of the bays up front by the entrance, then drop on the line around back. Once in a while, though, they will have us drop inside the bays you’re talking about that are on the backside of the plant. I couldn’t agree more about how tight they are.

We might, but I don’t think I have. That name doesn’t ring a bell with me.

Came out of the house couple weeks ago back to running mostly dairy. As long as I get my miles I don’t care what I do though I do prefer the west coast. Pipe to the spigot on my back porch broke and flooded my crawl space. Thankfully only $325 repair. I called a plumbing contractor cuz I wasn’t getting under there.

My miles are still great. I had a total of 12,254 for the month of May. These numbers are from the loaded and empty column on each paystub last month.

    3,247 on 5/1/26
    2,907 on 5/8/26
    3,577 on 5/22/26
    2,523 on 5/29/26

I scanned in 4,158 miles yesterday which will be on the stub this coming Friday. That was definitely a full week. I started in Watsonville, CA on Friday the 22nd and went to Tulare, CA. From there, I went to Lindsay. I left Lindsay, CA Sunday morning and dropped in Lake Wales, FL on Thursday afternoon. I picked up a preloaded tank destined for Murfreesboro, TN at the Winter Haven yard that evening and delivered it Friday night. From there, I went to Cordele, GA and dropped the empty. Then, I bobtailed to the Loves in Irvington, AL to re-power a load. I was parked at that Loves on Saturday the 30th with one hour and 21 minutes left on my 70. I did a 34 there and spent Monday running the re-powered load 645 miles to Fort Pierce, FL. I dropped it about an hour ago. The 645 miles isn’t included in 4,158 since we’re already past the midnight cutoff to scan it in.

Needless to say, I’m ready for a break. I will be parking my rig at the yard tomorrow, writing it up for a PM, and taking most of the week off. I might bring my travel trailer back to Fort Pierce or possibly stay in Naples again. I haven’t decided yet.

Ran out of hrs here at the Loves in South Hill VA, 34 in progress. Needed to hit up Walmart anyway, ran out of water and rice. My Chinese gf always jokes that I’m the whitest asian with how much rice I eat and use chopsticks daily to eat said rice, lol!

I work for wdt and we're governed to 68 mph. I get steady trips but only being able to get 650 miles a day max is a income limiter. You guys pass me all the time. I guess the insurance savings are more important to my company than more deliveries.

I don't think the 2mph matters as much as you think it does. I've done 704 miles in a day with a truck governed at 68.

    Lonesome and Tanker_82 Thank this.
