I think they got the medical fixed where it’s cheaper again the way it was before, not sure though. I usually take 4-5 sometimes 6 days off when I go home. They never bother me about it. I stay out 3-5 weeks though. If you live in a good area you can be home all the time and not even have to take time off.

Why would they bounce you guys all the way back to S. Tx when they got that big ole yard in Clovis?!?................................then I see that they bounce a truck from FL to S. Tx!?!?! That stuff coming outa Mission must be paying a GRIP of $$$$.

Could be the customer is willing to pay the deadhead. When I used to do Christmas trees they would pay the company dead head from Denver to PortlandLast edited: Apr 14, 2018
Tanker_82 and Paddlewagon Thank this. -
I’ve done it several times. Sometimes 2-3 back to back. When I leave McAllen to head to Tempe, AZ I usually get a preplan dead head to go back to McAllen before I make it to El Paso. Doesn’t bother me a bit. I get paid regardless. Lol. And yes I am dead heading to Mission as we speak. 1,331 mile dead head from Bradenton Florida.stwik Thanks this.

I would imagine so. It’s not uncommon to dead head 1,000 miles here.

I hear ya!! I just always look at the business side of things. Obviously it pays well enough for them to continue to bounce trucks that far. Is the stuff coming out of S. Texas seasonal??Tanker_82 Thanks this.

That’s the way it seems. Sometimes it’s busy down here, sometimes not so much from my experience.
