The Johanna dedicated drivers park their trucks there when they go home for the day.

 

Never seen anyone doing that here before.

 

I'm unsure how common it is. I know I was trained on pump doing that.

 

So no idea when it was added. But randomly after parking the stupid camera. So without saying anything they added that trash.

 

Are you talking about the idle warning?. I have heard it once and nothing again. As long as it isn't announcing anything when I am trying to sleep, I won't pay any attention to it.

I bet the crazy diesel prices had something to do with them adding that feature. Hopefully that doesn't progress to them introducing actual idle restrictions and engine shutdowns. I'm not hanging around if they do that.

If they want to add idle restrictions and shutdown timers. They better get APUs or something else. Otherwise what the trucks well atleast the petes. Unsure about the shakers and KWs. Don't currently don't really have anything for non idle heating and cooling.

 

I think a shop has to enable the idle shutdown with their laptop. I just don't want to hear any voice, female or not, in the middle of the night when I am sleeping.

Only the old Internationals had APUs and those are long gone. It would be ridiculously expensive to retrofit the current trucks with APUs so I don't see that happening.
