10-4. I slept in this morning. Took a 13 hour break instead of a 10 since I have the time.

I could tomorrow, but I’m going to get up and stop the the Beacon for a wash and head on in. She needs a bath. Looks like good weather for a few days if they send me up to Washington again.

I don’t know if they told you or not, but before you Transflo in the receipt you have to get a PO number from dispatch and write it on the top of your receipt or in the comments of your cover sheet. I’ve forgot to do it once and just scanned it in. Payroll sent me a message as a reminder afterwards.

Do you ever have to pay out of pocket for a tank wash? What about when you use a Cat Scale? My company we put scale tickets on the EFS card.
Where do you feel at? You guys make Indian River sound like a good company to work for. Thanks for your help.

Nope. Didn’t know that. Thanks for the heads up. Do we pay out of pocket or have an account? Then once done, contact dispatch.

I’ve never paid out of pocket for a tank wash. Was either issued a check or we have an account. As for the Cat scale, I’ve paid out of pocket. Was told in orientation that our fuel card covers it, but the two times I’ve Cat scaled, it didn’t take it. Mainly fuel at TA, Petro, Loves. You can fuel anywhere, but some states and locations you’re limited on how much.

I’m new to the tanker world and really like it here. Keep you moving. I have no real complaints.

Out of all the customers I’ve been to, there’s only been 2 or 3 that I can think of that require a Cat scale before/after loading us. I pay out of pocket and then I scan the receipt in, then they reimburse me. Same goes for the Blue Beacon.
If you don’t want to front your own cash, you can do a $50 cash advance on the fuel card then use that to pay for it. You would still have to Transflo in the receipt in order to negate the advance though. It’s never been a big deal to me so I’ve just always used my money. I’ve never been a cash advance kinda guy but it’s an option if you need to go that route.

Forgot to tell you, they don’t reimburse for extra stuff at the Beacon. So if you get wax, engine wash, etc.. that’s on you.
I fuel wherever I want but I use Loves 95% of the time since they have the best rewards system. You can use TA, Flying J/Pilot if you need to. Some of those have a gallon cap of 51 and 101. I guess that’s their way of persuading us to use Loves.

    rmcgill and Evomalo Thank this.

Got it. Thanks. It depends on the time of year what extras I do. I mostly fuel at TA/Petro. I prefer their showers. I hit the others if that’s where I’m staying so I can shower there.
