Heading back out today after soon good time off. I do have to say, the doctor they use for the physical here is wearing me out. I have a cpap and use it like I’m supposed to. I had a sleep study in 2011. He’ll only issue me a 3 month card every time. I follow up with my sleep doctor like I’m supposed to and he says I don’t need another sleep study, but the DOT guy thinks otherwise, and until I do, it’s a 3 month card.

Personally, I think it’s a scam. Like I said, since 2011, I’ve been using it. I sleep the same. Anyway. I’m really getting tired of having to do a physical every 3 months.

 

That’s messed up. You never can tell with these big box stores.

They make me do a full physical every time. It’s nuts!

 

You can't find your own Doctor to do your Physical or is that who IRT makes you use.

 

It depends on where you are at. I first took mine in Nashville since i hadn’t moved here yet. The way it sounds, this is the place you have to use here. The place in Nashville was Concentra. Think I spelled that right. They are notorious for sleep studies. That was the first thing they asked me. Even before weighing me or checking blood pressure.

 

This is the first time I’ve had trouble. The major problem I have with it, they could care less about the rest of the physical. He told me it’s about safety. If that was true, they would be just as particular about the other parts of the physical. It’s the hot topic now. Our lady here wasn’t happy about it. They have to pay for all of these physicals. Said the is going to talk to the safety director about it. I’m not the first to complain. It’s one thing if I wasn’t compliant, but by report says I am.

DOT guys says I need a new study. Sleep specialist says I don’t. Who would you listen to? Lol. Oh well. They took my tank up to Florida’s Natural to get loaded, so I get to bobtail up there. Always a plus.

 

Didn’t make it too far on my trip. I’m sitting At Tallahassee Peterbilt. I have a SCR system fault and my engine started to derate. Sounds like I might have to give up this California run. Not a good start coming off home time.
