that kid went to school with me hes a good kid clean record came around a turn van was stopped in the middle of the highway i havent talked to him but most likely all it takes is that split second distraction even a blink makes a couple hundred feet of a distance

its tough personally i dont know how i would deal with it. but its a shame its almost always our fault. I'm not saying its his fault or it isnt his fault its just him being in the tractor puts the odds against him as opposed to a personal vehicle i pray for the families of everyone involved in that

no charges for the driver... 3 witnesses ... the van was in the dark... no lights on from the deer hit... in the travel lane... skid marks show Jesse tried to avoid the van
48Packard and DragonTamerBrat Thank this. -
This could very well go down as a tragic case of "wrong place, wrong time". I feel for the families of the deceased and for that driver.
Thank you for the update, GF. -
that's great news I hope Jesse can recover from it, I can't imagine going through that
48Packard Thanks this. -

in keeping the 7 seconds of following distance...if you slowed down everytime a car or TRUCK got in front of you and filled that 7 seconds of space..you would be stopped in the middle of the frikn road
