That sucks, but $1500 doesnt sound bad for a turbo replacement. To replace the turbos on my car would cost the same not including labor.

    Quick story:

I'm going through old papers that have accumulated over the last year+ and came across the paperwork from my first load. I had to move a dirty trailer from cory to the Chicago quala. No biggie, but it was placarded and no paperwork left with the trailer. And of course it was a Sunday dispatch, so get to call into "C" squad over at extended. I tell them "I need the bills before I can move trailer xyz. Fax them to Cory OC."
"I'm sorry driver, but I can't do that. The Cory OC is closed on weekends."
"They have a training class, they are open. I'm standing in front of the fax machine as we speak (I really was)."
"Um...I don't so. They close on the weekends..."
This goes back and forth twice more believe it or not.
About two hours later I finally get the fax, only instead of the BOL I get the actual bill to the consignee. I did say I needed the bill lol. It had all the info I needed so I was good to go. But the real kicker was I got to see what THEY charge the customer:
    $4.51 per mi linehaul
    $0.95 per mi fsc
Total with accesory came out to $1876.56 (it was a short haul and did not include the Cory to Chi movement).

Explains why Schnieder doesn't have a percentage pay option in Bulk for O/O's yet. Doubt that load would ever hit the board if they did. Too much money to be made with company drivers pulling it.

You can get a TWIC anytime, you don't have to be a CDL driver to get it, I recieved mine a week before I got my CDL. It is the same process as the HazMat, TSA fingerprint and background check.

So much for the 100% FSC being paid.
