Infant's body found in Onslow County garbage truck

10/27/08

Jacksonville, N.C.  A garbage truck driver found an infant's body in his truck Monday morning, according to the Onslow County Sheriff's Office.
The driver called authorities around 6:50 a.m. Detectives said they have identified a "person of interest" in the newborn's death.
Detectives have not released any other information, including the baby's gender. Authorities have also not said where the garbage truck was when the driver discovered the body.
