I'm just glad you have enough time in this business to smell a something bad in the air. Can you imagine how many go....duh...OK..! Now they are out on the road paying to drive a company truck.

met a guy yesterday, said he was dot'd becuz of thier safstat score which is like 90something. got him on his second log violation so they fired him. if you ran for these clowns you'd know they not only expect you to cheat, they pretty much demand it. then if something happens, they fire ya and say "see how we are?" can't wait to see them go down. oldman retired and the kid running it don't have a clue. they need to fire him and let mike run it. mike's a good dude. good luck everybody!

yeap very glad i walked away. found a great local job hauling haz-mat tankers. pay is #### good, the dispatchers r great. they ask you if you want to take a load not tell you. almost all the head guys used to be drivers for them. pick your own hours. work weekend or not. your choice. i feel sorry for the short timers that get sucked in to those kinda traps and pay for the rest of their lives. they get with one of these type of companies and when they fig out that they r screwed its to late. their dac report takes a hit, not enough time to get another job worth anything or wont screw u over like the last one. good luck to all the new drivers that have to go with a #### hole just to survive and maybe one day find their right job.

This company made me wait exactly 20 hours (detention starts at 24) and then gave me a dispatch to a trailer that had already been loaded even before my wait started. I'm confident they knew they'd give me that one, but when I called my dispatcher and asked how I was getting out of there, he said he had no idea. Oh really? When there's only one customer in that area and they have a load ready going where I'm going, it's probably my load!
Then I had a 50-hour detention that didn't get paid. They told me the load couldn't get there until Monday afternoon but I could've gotten there early Saturday. Then the final check showed that I also didn't get paid for the 30-hour detention on my second-to-last day, for no logical reason that I'm aware of. Hmpf.
And yes, log falsification is a way of life at Schugel. I got taken off of a dedicated run over the summer because I couldn't stay awake on the 4 hours sleep required to do it.
And I never had cruise control. I #####ed about it every week until eventually my dispatcher told me to write it up. I have three logbooks full of failed inspections. Had I known they'd just eventually cheat me later I would've refused to run it. -
can anyone tell me how the lease program is at JR schugel

They pay .88 per mile. Nobody ever lasts long leasing or running O/O with them at that rate.

they say its 410 for the truck and with all the extras are about 750 week minus fuel and not counting fuel surcharge

look back at some post, when i did it (L/P) i was in the truck 2 months when the tranny blew, $6500 out of my pocket. how is that fare?
