Has anyone ever been to the 100 Travel Plaza in Lawrence, Ms. on I-20 at exit 100? My son is on a trip to Suwanee, Ga. and couldn't get into either the Flying J, Pilot or Petro at Pearl, Ms. at exits 45 and 47 because they were lined up 6 deep at the pumps and circling the lots for parking so I told him about this stop where he ran out of hours and put it down for 10. I hope it's half-way decent and safe for his sake because this is his first week as a driver out on his own. Any comments or replies will be greatly appreciated. Everyone have a great Saturday evening and always be safe.

I stopped there once. It's not much but the restaurant cooks up some decent catfish.

It's out in the country so it's pretty safe as far as crime. Quiet for the most part.

I just looked at it from Google Satellite View, doesn't even come up with any reviews or anything, but looks like a nice rural location with a dirt lot. I'll have to bookmark that in my truck stop book for future reference. Looks safe enough to me. I think you meant the closest town is Lake, MS.

    Thanks PackRat,
I haven't been there so when he said he couldn't wait forever at either of the 3 at Pearl I told him to try this stop. Like you said I saw it on Google maps and it looks to be quiet and safe. At least he has a restaurant and shower if needed. I really appreciate your feedback for me on this one. Have a great Saturday.

Hi Lepton, Thanks for your reply and comment. Google shows it as Lawrence but it may well be in Lake. Either way I am glad that I told him a fairly decent and safe place to stop. I appreciate all feedback so I can help my son on his road to his career choice. I spent 44 years out there with everyone and I miss the hell out of it. All I do now is go to the local truckstops here in Ocala, Fl. to have coffee and visit with drivers. Have a safe and happy Christmas.

When I'm in that area I usually overnight at an independent as the chains are always clusters.

The one in Cuba, Alabama is a good late night choice. Big parking lot.

    Amen to that.

One of the reasons I try to grab a quick shower on my 30 minute break, since we always fuel at the chains, then take my 10 hour breaks most anywhere. In the south I have pretty good luck with Walmarts.
