Greeting fellows, I saw in Truck Paper, a 2007 MACK CXN613 a with a 480HP MACK AC-460P ENGINE. 500K miles. I'm not familiar with Mack engines so would like to know some things about it. When i google AC 460p, I get info on E7 engines.
    Are AC460 engines good engines?
Are they the same as the E7?
Does the "460" mean horse power, or a model number?
Anything you can tell me about this engine is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Are you referring to an Allis-Chalmers truck engine?

Lazer, No he's talking about the Mack E-7 ASET EGR. Unless it's really clean and dirt cheap I'd walk. Does the owner have maintenance records

It's your basic E-7 E-tech but with EGR. Can't tell you anything else really.

    The 460p is 480hp
