It happens elsewhere. Speaking as a forum Mod (on a different forum) myself, we give warnings when someone uses spelling to intentionally go around words the filter would not allow.
The forum owner sets the tone.

Good reason for that Nana. You do know that Skippy is a brand of peanut butter. You do know that certain folks have a (sometimes fatal) allergy to peanuts!
BTW, I LIKE peanut butter and am NOT allergic to it!

Um, I think politics USED to be moderated. I've known (I believe) several folks to earn a "vacation" there. It was one reason that I never spent much time there. Of course even though it is no longer moderated, I still don't spend much time there. It just isn't worth the rise in blood pressure to me. . .

I've been slammed pretty good, (or bad as the case may be.) But when it happens, it always makes me stop to think, "maybe I really deserved it." In any case, I can't see crying to big brother over it.

I will report a post that is blatantly against forum rules. I will also report certain posts that appear to me to be bullying of other members. But if they are directed at me, I just move on.

I have put folks on the ignore list, (rarely) for a limited period of time. (Usually until I can cool off.) Unless someone is a complete troll, they are still going to have some intelligent things to say. Even though I disagree with them, I still might be able to learn something from them.

 

I agree. It's funny how some people like to pull the "I've got more experience than you so ####" card. I may not have been in the industry as long as you but I sure as heckfire didnt start yesterday. It seems more and more these days that common sense is becoming less and less and being less experienced don't mean youre insignificant.
