Varmints? Well...in Indian folklore the Otter was highly respected for it's brave and cunning ways to survive.....I could go on, but the BS meter was red lining!
Not a big deal really. It's a way to let new members, and even some long time members, know what the chain of command is here.
Try some Top Gear for a change Granny. Injun deserves more than being called "Mama Swift" in all honesty. She goes above and beyond and She deserves TTR forum Member of the Month. Only suggesting it MT. KH
Kinghunter, all I did was talk to a friend. We all do that every day. There were at least half a dozen members ready to wire money to a complete stranger and one standing by ready to fill his own prescription and overnight it to Bluebonn if it came to that. In my eyes, being ready to actually take such action, stating so and taking the time to PM me and probably Bluebonn as well...they are the folks who really deserve recognition. TexasNana, Ducks, Ken, CondoCruiser, Kinghunter....I'll have to go back through that thread...but they were ready and willing to help a fellow driver. Even those who didn't think they could help...did. with moral support and a show of comeraderie. Sometimes that's more important than actual concrete stuff.
First off MT, I second Kinghunter's nomination of Injun/(Mama Swift) for Member of the Month. Just in my short stint as a member of TR, I have read numerous theads where our nominee has counciled multiple Swift Trainees that found themselves in desperate situations. And in atleast 2 recent situations, her communications with Swift staff helped remove the desperate trainees from their predicament. She routinely offers advice and incite to the members of this forum. She appropriately defends the name of her employer. And in another recent event, was a voluntary first responder to a horrific traffic accident. Our nominee consistantly demonstrates Maternal and Heroic characteristics that make her worthy of any honor we could bestow upon her. Sure she doesn't toot her own horn, but last I checked, no true heroine does.
